Community Development Fundraiser & Sponsorship Opportunities

The Town of Robbins is in search of sponsorship and charitable donations to aid in our redevelopment efforts and to contribute to our Town’s revitalization. A Community Development Fundraiser will be held on March 10, 2018, at 6:00 PM at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Robbins, North Carolina. Tickets for the event will be $60 per individual and $100 per couple. Ticket holders have a chance to win $1,000, and the event will feature a catered dinner, a silent auction, and opportunities to sponsor community development efforts and invest in the businesses and people of the Town of Robbins. Tickets can be purchased online at the link above (Purchase Tickets) or by calling 910.948.2431 Ext. 3.
Robbins has already received a substantial donation of $10,000, and is seeking further support from generous sponsors to aid in community growth and reinvestment. The Fundraiser will offer different levels of sponsorship and valued acknowledgment of individuals and businesses for their support. Sponsorships will range from $500 to $20,000, but a donation of any amount is appreciated. Benefactors will have the opportunity to receive public recognition, including: a listing in the Fundraiser’s program, naming rights to various public amenities, community assets, and programs.
It is an exciting time for the Town of Robbins! After several years of economic instability, our community is beginning to experience the promise of a brighter future. Our recent success is not simply a coincidence, but rather the culmination of strategic action by the Town of Robbins and the steadfast support of our community partners. This includes much appreciated efforts of our elected leaders in Moore County as well as Raleigh, and also or community-based partnerships, and the local business community.
“We would like to build on that momentum and continue to address the needs of our local businesses, our residents, and our great community as a whole,” says Mayor Lonnie English. The Town of Robbins has numerous community development needs, including several beautification projects, tourism development initiatives, business start-up funds, Downtown-area building façade improvements, as well as outdoor recreation support and expansion. The support of the public and of local businesses can have an immeasurable impact on Robbins’ future. “Robbins faces a number of economic obstacles, complicated further by the Town’s ineligibility to receive assistance from the state government due to North Carolina’s use of the Tier System. The Tier System, which ranks North Carolina’s counties based upon overall economic well-being, fails to account for communities experiencing economic distress within otherwise wealthy and prosperous counties,” explains David Lambert, Robbins Town Manager.
The Town of Robbins is primed for economic growth, and is well suited for economic investment. An improvement in the Downtown area or surrounding neighborhoods will have a positive, cascading effect throughout the Town itself and adjoining communities. Sponsorship and investment will have a mutual benefit to both the sponsor and the Town of Robbins, through municipal and regional improvements, increased economic activity, and the shared prosperity that comes as a result of such revitalization.
