Robbins Area Potteries
The pottery tradition dates back to the 1700's, before the American Revolution. Many of the first potters were English and German immigrants who primarily produced functional, glazed earthenware. Due to the high quality local clay, Robbins and the rural areas around town, became home to many potters.
A renewed interest in decorative and functional pottery emerged in the 1970's. Today, 5th and 6th generation potters are producing beautiful wares here. Come shop the Pottery Highway as it winds right through the middle of our wonderful little town.
